CNW annual survey and Cheshire LEP Board opportunity

Last chance to feed your views into Co-operatives North West annual survey
Survey closes on Wednesday 17 November.

Co-operatives North West would like your views! We are using a survey, to consult with newsletter readers, members and stakeholders. There are nine questions, taking less than 10 minutes to complete. Last year we had over 50 responses to our survey and your feedback and comments enabled us to introduce some new services including: seminars to introduce people to co-operatives, training for business advisers, a regional directory of co-operatives, and improved online media presence, including Twitter and Facebook pages. To complete the survey please visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QYQZXWC . If you prefer to complete a hard copy, contact Barbara Davidson at barbara@cooperatives-nw.coop, tel: 01706 812699.

Co-operatives North West offers support to Cheshire LEP Board nomination
Closing date for nominations: Friday 19 November.
Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership is advertising for new Board members. This is a rare opportunity for co-op voices to be heard in enterprise decision making at this level.

“Cheshire and Warrington has one of the most vibrant economies in the UK and we want to unleash its true potential. To that end, and following extensive consultation with the economic stakeholders in Cheshire and Warrington this summer, a well received application was submitted to the Government for the formation of a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region. It is proposed to proceed as quickly as possible with the setting up of the LEP. The Board will be predominantly private sector and applications are invited to apply for Category 2 and 3 membership representing the private, voluntary and education sectors. Applications are sought from people with a genuine interest in the economic wellbeing of the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region, the willingness to commit and the time to give to the Board.” www.cwec.org.uk/LEP-appointments

Co-operatives North West would like to assist a person to apply for membership of Cheshire & Warrington LEP. Application is through a brief CV and a short note explaining what you believe you can bring to the LEP. If successful there will be plenty support for you in your role including a modest fee, training, information and guidance. If you are interested, please contact jo@cooperatives-nw.coop
