Co-operative Sector in the Region

The co-operative and mutual sector in the North West of England comprises a wide range of diverse businesses. It makes a substantial contribution to the region’s economy ensuring that jobs and services are owned and controlled by local people. There are over 400 businesses in the co-operative and mutual sector in the region, which collectively employ around 15,000 people and have a membership of more than 4.5 million.
